and do and trekking
through the country's
hill and village. It’s
the best way to see
truly traditional ways
of life hardly changed
through the centuries
and experience Nepal's
world renowned Himalaya
at close range.
Yet for many people
trekking seems out of
question. Most popular
routes are very long and
many feels they have to
have time and experience
necessary for trekking.

paradise became renowned
in world as a mountain
lake resort. People
enjoys boating,pony

and walking around in
Pokhara valley.
But there are still many
unexplored,unreached
hiding villages around
Pokhara to reach closer
glimpse of inner Nepal
by DAY HIKING. Some of
most unique places to be
seen are……………..
PUMDIBHUMDI
7 km drive south of
Pokhara to Khare khola
and start to climb to
Pumdi Bhumdi top. It
will take a bout one
hour to reach.One you
reach there.You will be
surprise of its worth of
hard climbing for the
beautiful view of
Himalaya peaks. No
matter where you are in
Pokhara. Machhapuchhare
the FISHTAIL PEAK
dominates the horizon
like an ice capped
pyramid as a single
soaring white spire. But
it will give magnificent
view over looking Fewa
Lake which is some thing
extra long array of snow
peaks beyond lake. Walk
back to Pokhara through
ridge west of Pokhara
and south of Fewa Lake
with excellent view of
Pokhara valley.
Those with enough time
can rest and take
picture of un-explore
culture. Otherwise walk
through ridge and enjoy
mountain view and forest
of Rani ban for bird and
flowers.Easy walk five
hours and trek ends at
damside.
NIRMAL POKHARI
Drive 6 KM towards to
east of Pokhara through
Dhunge Sanghu village
where you can see best
view of Annapurna
ranges. Drive up to
Modgauda cross Seti
rever and start climb up
to Nirmal Pokhari
through terrace of rice
field and jungle. It
will take you about one
and half hours to reach
at Nirmal Pokhari(1450).
Once you reach there,you
will feel like Pokhara
is in your handfull with
view of long ranges of
Dhaulagiri,Annapurna,
Machhapuchhare,Lamjung,Ganesh
Himal,Manaslu and
Fewa,Begnas and Rupa
lakes. Then walk to
wards to west ridge
through different
villages.Baji
Pokhari,Shivalaya,Foksing
and Dhopahare.
During two and half
hours walk through
ridge,you will enjoy
different angle of
mountains,Pokhara valley
and village itself with
full of culture and
nature beauties. Make
sure you have enough
water bottle with you
from hotel because no
teashop,no cold drinks
on the way.
From Dhopahare you have
to walk down for about
one hour and you will
reach at Tashi Ling
Tibetan village where
6oo Tibetan
residents.Its own
Gompa,SOS childrens
village,Primary school
and souvenir shops. You
can drive back with
local buses or taxi.
This will take you about
five hours full
excursion.
NAUDANDA KASKIKOT
Drive 24Km west of
Pokhara (1440) high up
on the ridge north of
Fewa Lake. On the way to
Baglung highway which is
newly builded. Buses run
to Baglung from Pokhara
or you can hire taxi or
private cars.
From Naudanda you start
walk towards to
Sarangkot through
Kaskikot. There you can
find the ruins of the
fort of the Kaski king
who fell to the
Gorkhalis 1781. Left
side magnificent views
of Annapurnas and
Machhapuchhare at only
35 KM air distant and
valley view of
Lahachok,Gahachok,Hyngja
Tibetan Village and
Laochour.Rightside views
of Fewa Lake and Pokhara
valley.
After three hours walk
you will reach at
Sarangkot(1590) There
are also lodges if you
want to stay overnight
to enjoy the sunset and
sunrise, otherwise two
hours walk down to
Bindhe Basni temple and
then drive back or walk
down to Lakeside.
KALIKA STHAN
Drive 5KM to Bijaypur
Khola and then start
walk up through bramin
villages. After one hour
walk you will reach at
Tiger Mountain's Gurung
village where you take
rest and buy cup of
coffee and you spend
some time for excellent
view of Annapurna
ranges, Whole Pokhara
valley and Fewa lake.
Walk through ridge and
after one hour you will
reach at Kalikasthan.You
can see bird eye view of
Pokhara valley,all
annapurna ridge,
Dhaulagiri,Fewa lake and
Begnas lake and then
walk down to Kau khola
valley through rice
field and you will reach
at Kudhar Matepani. You
can visit Buddhist
monastery on the way and
then can drive back by
taxi or private car.
BEGNAS & RUPA LAKE
Drive 11 KM east of
Pokhara valley and then
you will reach at Begnas
bazar. You walk through
Sundhari Danda and you
will reach at Sundhari
Banjang where you can
see both lakes and
different angle view of
Annapurna ranges. You
can visit Begnas Resort
for lunch and then take
boat back to Begnas
bazar and drive back by
local buses or private
cars. It will take four
or five hours for whole
trip.
